The Opportunity & Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an E-Commerce Manager to join the rapidly growing DU’IT team and work closely with some of China’s major established e-commerce marketplaces – such as Tmall, JD.com, VIP.com, Kaola.com and Little Red Book – as a key contact. This role will report to the Chief Business Development Officer.

The E-Commerce Manager will provide high-level business management of day-to-day operations of key online cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) platforms that DU’IT is currently engaged with and provide support services to relevant Executives to assist in achieving strategic objectives of the business. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the China operations team, promotional campaigns or special events, online store design/decorations, merchandising updates, sales, and customer service of the DU’IT Flagship Stores on both tmall.hk and JD.com. You will also be required to prepare regular reports and other ad hoc duties.

This position is located at Lexington Drive, Bella Vista.

 

The Candidate:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can:

  • Manage project deadlines, expectations and performance targets of the DU’IT flagship store(s)
  • Develop annual sales plans for relevant CBEC channels;
  • Efficiently manage allocated budgets and/or resources to achieve maximum ROI;
  • Assist in developing and managing relevant CBEC platform sales forecasting;
  • Closely collaborate with appointed DU’IT Chinese operations team and internal marketing team to coordinate effective DU’IT Flagship Store(s) campaigns;
  • Effectively manage the appointed DU’IT operations team(s) that will operate the DU’IT Flagship Store(s) and ensure that their respective KPIs are achieved;
  • Prepare regular reports in a timely fashion on all sales and operations activities of the DU’IT Flagship Store(s), with key recommendations to maximise any business opportunities;
  • Develop good working relationships with relevant CBEC platform category managers and marketing managers to ensure optimal brand campaigns and secure resources for DU’IT during promotions;
  • Ensure brand content, imagery and/or marketing collateral on DU’IT Flagship Store(s) is consistent, accurate and up to date with brand guidelines at all times;
  • Proactively communicate the status of projects to key stakeholders as needed; and
  • Work with analytics team to understand key insights of big data from CBEC platforms to improve business opportunities.

                                                                                            

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience across one or more of these platforms Tmall, JD.com, VIP.com, Kaola.com and Little Red Book.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into easy to understand plain English reports and communications.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Proficient in WeChat and Chinese social media APPs.
  • Proven e-commerce channel management experience.
  • Superior data analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Willingness to travel (interstate / international - in particular China) and (minimum) Class C Driver’s license.

 

Desirable requirements 

  • Deep understanding of China market and CBEC channels.
  • Open minded and adaptable to change.
  • Tertiary qualifications.
  • 4+ years sales experience with leading multinational organisation.
  • Basic knowledge of Marketing and CRM activity.
  • Previous experience working with online Chinese CBEC platform.
