About the role
This position will specifically relate to the  Material Processing Division. Their products and technologies ensure smooth production processes and decisively increase the life expectancy and economic efficiency of conveyor belt systems. This position will ultimately grow the Material Processing Division in the Townsville region, particularly mechanical components including belt cleaners, rollers, idlers, etc.
This position will require extensive travel to client sites across North Queensland.
Primary activities of this position revolve around business development and maintaining/growing key accounts. This will be achieved by building solid relationships and offering all clients a superior level of technical support and effective solutions.
This will be achieved through well organised sales calls, face to face visits and effective execution of sales strategy.
What you would be doing
The main things that you would be doing include:
  • High level of customer face to face activity by traveling to different mine sites across North Queensland
  • Optimise sales and profit in line with company guidelines
  • Thorough product knowledge
  • Relationship management
  • Quoting and tender preparation
  • Achieving agreed goals
Who we’re looking for
This position will suit someone who knows their conveyors and conveyor components. While the Business Development/Sales aspect of the role will be critical, we are seeking someone with extensive product knowledge to be able to provide our clients with proven recommendations and expertise.
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  • Conveyor product knowledge
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills
  • Engineering related qualification preferred
  • Professional with strong people and relationship building skills
  • Skilled in account management
  • An ability to understand technical products & understand a potential client's needs, providing a solution that will add value to their business
  • Self-motivation & a team player outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and present solutions
  • Hold a current driver's licence & willingness to travel throughout the region
