The opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished, passionate, creative, business savvy National Account Manager to join our Contracts team in the Mentone Victoria head office. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing your accounts to achieve targets for profitable growth and equity for Simplot brands and products. You will actively participate in the category team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of Contracts objectives to meet the customer’s requirement, within timeframe and budget.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the 0-12 annual contract
- Reviewing & developing annual customer category plans.
- Negotiating & presenting win-win outcomes for Simplot and customer.
- Managing account budget within guidelines.
- Leading project teams and management of key stakeholders in Tender process
- Actively being the voice / advocate of the customer within the organisation.
- Building and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure delivery of account / category objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have 1-3 years’ experience in National Account Management/Category Management role within an FMCG or Food Manufacturing company. You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of retail / sales / category principles and the ability to build cross-functional relationships. Have proven capability winning tenders, and managing teams end to end in a development of those products.
You will have an aptitude for understanding and analysing detailed information and reports to develop growth plans for the account. You will be tertiary qualified in business or a related discipline.
