About the role

This role forms an integral part of the newly established Navitas Careers and Industry International team and will be based in Sydney. Navitas Careers and Industry division currently consists of SAE Creative Media Institute and the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) with new institutes planned for the future.  The position will work closely with other Navitas Careers and Industry International staff across the world and report to the Australian-based Associate Director for the division.

The Regional Market Manager will be responsible and accountable for International sales and marketing of SAE Creative Media and the Australian College of Applied Psychology programs within Sydney and select offshore markets.  The role will also hold responsibility for the international sales in these regions for any future programs from institutes added to the Navitas Careers and Industry portfolio.  In addition, the role will be responsible for establishing partnership opportunities with off-shore institutes to primarily drive students to study at SAE or ACAP in Australia. 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong written and verbal capability in English with preference for a second language
  • Possession of a qualification with 3+ years of sales experience preferably within the education, creative media or human services/health sectors
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills inclusive of public speaking/presentation skills
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to as a team player within a sales or high performance environment
  • Demonstrated flexibility for work hours as on occasion there will be a requirement for weekend and evening work to support student recruitment activities both locally and internationally
  • Proven self-starting abilities to initiate and implement effective sales tactics which have made a significant contribution to sustainable business growth
  • Strong innovative thinking and proactive work habits including an eye for detail and for new recruitment initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines, changing priorities and to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes
  • The ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure competing demands are met
  • Thorough understanding of education agency networks, engagement strategies and best practice marketing activities in the education or service related environment

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the education / English language sector
  • International sales experience with multiple off-shore markets
  • Understanding of the creative media industry or human services sector would be advantageous
