Purpose of the role

Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity exists in Sydney for a Client Growth Manager to focus on driving client and market growth supporting priority ASX 50 relationships with new and existing clients. You will work as part of the Strategic Client Portfolio team (SCP). and operate collaboratively with partners across the firm, in various sectors and specialty practice areas.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the revenue generation and growth of a portfolio of priority ASX 50 clients by working with senior account managers and partners firm wide on staying abreast of clients' industry developments and business agendas.
  • Support development of MinterEllison client development strategies including assistance with proposals for these clients
  • Support go-to-market plans around  industry projects to further develop MinterEllison's market positioning
  • Drive/assist with the management of client service team plans and meetings, co-facilitate client planning sessions and workshops.

More about you

The ideal candidate will have experience working preferably in a professional services environment, with tertiary qualifications in commerce , business, marketing or a related discipline (this may be in addition to a law degree).  

In addition, you will:     

  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or business or a related discipline
  • proven 3+ years' experience in business development or equivalent work experience; experience applying these skills in legal or professional services environment will be well regarded
  • strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • strong skills in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • ability to work with people (at all levels), including internal and external clients
  • ability to calmly manage competing tasks with time pressures
  • ability to grasp complex concepts quickly
  • have an understanding of the infrastructure, construction & property industries
  • commitment to excellence in all interactions and all work

  • ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
