Due to an internal staff promotion, we now require an additional Internal Sales and Customer Service professional to manage our customer interactions and support our field sales team.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of sales and customer support tasks. Your position is generally office based but you will be given opportunity to meet customers personally intra- and interstate.

Requirements to qualify:

  • Previous (phone or field) sales experience, preferably within the scientific industry
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including professional and friendly phone manner
  • Be highly organised and possess great attention to detail skills
  • Be pro-active, motivated and ambitious
  • Preferably have a university degree in a Science or Engineering discipline, ideally in surface science or nanofabrication related fields
  • Have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products

Your role includes, but is not limited to:

  • First point of contact for inbound customer calls
  • Outbound calls to existing as well as new customers, providing product and application advice, technical information and service support
  • Outbound calls to assist our territory managers with quotation follow up
  • Organisational and documentation support to the service department
  • Maintain customer details within our CRM database
  • Liaising with all members of the team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Processing of orders and follow up activities
