About the role:

As a result of high demand in NSW, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced Account Manager who will be directly responsible for cascading National programs to their state, ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date with the latest activities on the ground.

Your passion for facilitating training programs and building key relationships with State Buyers, Complex Managers, Builders Co-ordinators and G4’s in demarcated stores will put you in good stead with maintaining this key account.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and developing a team of merchandisers, ensuring KPI’s are consistently met and relationships are nurtured at store level. In addition, you will develop local programs for your market along with the state buyer and State Sales Manager.

This permanent, full time position report directly to the State Sales Manager and will be based at our Yennora office in NSW.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for managing personal sales performance, budgets and activities within the Bunnings account
  • Ensure growth in revenue through price and margin management
  • Managing all sales activities using an established sales process, including (but not limited to) reporting, budgeting, cycle planning, forecasting, account planning and management.
  • An ability to interact with all key stakeholders from the timberyard right through to the State buyer
  • Prepare local and regional analysis (share, product mix, competitor analysis etc.) and demonstrate how it is used to drive increase sales and business results
  • Continue to build revenue and opportunity base through new and existing Bunnings stores, as well as implementation of new products and markets to ensure future sales
  • Capability to proactively turn customer opportunities into sales orders and create demand where it previously didn’t exist.

Required experience:

  • 3-5 years’ sales experience within a B2B environment
  • Demonstrated experience in managing personal sales performance and activities with revenue in excess of $15 million
  • Previous experience managing the end to end sales process within a key account.
  • Key account management experience preferably within the timber or hardware industry
  • Degree or Diploma in Business Studies or Sales qualification an advantage but not essential
