The Company

One of the largest dealer management system providers in Australasia (employing 130+ staff) and the fastest growing, my client specialises in the development of SaaS dealer management systems (DMS) for the Retail Automotive, Agricultural, and Trucking Industries. Their range of Software solutions help clients run their dealerships more effectively, efficiently and profitably.

With a strong technological edge my client's business is in serious growth mode as they continue to cannibalise market share from their next closest competitor in the space. This has led to the need for a seasoned sales professional to join their growing team, to be based in Melbourne.

 

The Role

A newly created position that has come about due to continued expansion, the position of Business Development Manager will see you responsible for identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and closing new business for my client's Automotive software solutions.

Though this is a new business focused role, it is uniquely well-supported with more than 70% of your opportunities coming about due to inbound enquiries about my client's DMS solutions. A strong reputation within industry has put them in this enviable position and as a result the person that they are looking for is ideally a seasoned closer: An individual with the ability to drive new revenue all the way from initial enquiry to successful conversion and delivery.

 

You

Ideally you are an industry veteran with strong Retail Automotive experience. You may have gained this experience working in a Dealership within Parts or Service, or even Finance (so you understand what drives a Dealership from that perspective), or you may have worked for one of the OEMs such as BMW, Holden, Nissan etc, - working with dealerships in the field, and helping them to drive success.

You may even have sold products into Dealerships, ie. Lubricants, Filters, Hoists, or other Automotive Aftermarket products. It doesn't matter what you have sold per se, more important is your deep understanding of what makes a dealership tick, and your deep motivation to win.

The package on offer will be negotiable depending on industry experience, prior sales success, and other factors under consideration however my client pays at and above industry average, and offers an uncapped commission structure. There are also appreciable opportunities for progression and growth internally as the company continues to grow.
