Your new company
A boutique family run company in the Plumbing industry - specialising in Pipework’s and Drainage. They have been established over 6 years just in this area, and prior to this had a general plumbing business. They use state of the art equipment for specialised jobs, which has acquired them a very strong reputation and a market leading position in Sydney. Their customers range from Business Owners, to Plumbers, to Strata and Facility managers, and they are currently looking for a sales person to join the team and drive business growth, specifically with the Strata and Facility Management industry.



Your new role
This role is quite varied, as you will be the sole sales person for the company. You will be based in the office for some of the week, and spend 1 day per week out on the road meeting and developing relationships with new clients, who include Strata and Facility Managers. The overall objective is to grow sales and the client base within that sector. You will also be responsible for the following

  • Responding to enquiries and speaking to customers over the phone ensuring they are happy with the service
  • Sending off quotations and following up quotations and converting them to sales
  • Running the weekly sales team meeting to update on leads and quotations out
  • Identifying target customers and approaching them to present the company’s service offering
  • Analysing buying patterns to distinguish best price for customers
  • Complete marketing activities in the form of social media
  • Train other members of the office on sales and closing techniques



What you'll need to succeed
As the ideal candidate, you will be willing to conduct various sales activities in this small business, and embrace their boutique culture and work as a team in in order to achieve business objectives. From an experience and character perspective, you will have the following;

  • Sales experience, ideally internal and external although just internal experience will be considered
  • Experience of cold calling and prospecting
  • Experience in Construction, Plumbing, and/or other blue collar industries
  • Marketing experience desirable
  • Experience of selling to Strata/or Facility Managers highly advantageous
  • Engaging personality, and passionate about people
  • Motivation to generate sales and earn uncapped commission



What you'll get in return

  • The role offers a base salary of up to $65,000 + allowance for vehicle
  • There is also an uncapped commission scheme in place as a percentage of total sales which is very lucrative
  • As the role grows and more clients are brought on board there will be progression opportunities
  • This role offers the opportunity to develop - running and sales meeting and training others in the office on sales techniques which will broaden your skill set
