This year Austep - in partnership with a suite of software prov​iders - has been awarded State Government Funding to create a digital business environment that drives reduction in energy costs and carbon emissions with an approach that includes design and engineering automation in the lighting industry across SE QLD. 

They are looking for an experienced lighting salesperson to take advantage of the powerful field data capture capability we have created using this exciting digital platform.

The role

This role comes with potential for $120k OTE and includes:

  • Opportunity to get in on the ground level of a fast-growing ethically-driven company
  • Following up leads and referrals from Austep partners
  • Contacting ​potential customers and generating new business
  • Leveraging an existing network to generate new business
  • Undertaking lighting audits through a tablet application (iOS and Android) for site data capture
  • CRM management
  • Winning business with presentations and proposals to prospect customers and network members
  • Optional day of paid volunteering per year
  • Spending at least one day per week in the office
  • Participate and contribute to business strategy 
  • Sell great product that is designed well within a booming industry

Requirements

  • Computer proficient
  • Vehicle and drivers license
  • Proven track record of B2B sales with 5yrs+ experience
  • A strong network of your own B2B networks
  • Professional presentation and communication skill
  • Positive attitude and genuine passion for sales
  • Experience with lighting and energy efficiency
  • Experience in building relationships via cold calls, networking and other avenues
  • Hunger to drive new sales including implementing outbound sales campaigns
  • Genuine commitment to sustainability and ethics highly regarded
