Trayne Consulting is currently recruiting for a Sales Showroom Consultant to work in our client's busy showroom, where you will be the face of the business where you will provide an end to end customer experience.

Our Client, based in Minchinbury, NSW, is a nationwide industry leader that are specialists in manufacturing and the installation of external doors, interior doors, screen doors and glass doors.  With a strong media presence, our Client advertises through TV ads, online, print and social media which means that every interaction you encounter is a warm lead where no cold selling is required.

Reporting to the Branch Manager on a day to day basis you will also have a reporting line to the Director who will oversee your success in this exciting opportunity.

The key duties of this role will be but not limited to:

  • Answering of phones in a professional and timely manner to answer all customer enquiries
  • Meeting & greeting customers that come into the showroom providing a professional sales experience/consultation
  • Being customer centric you will walk the customer through their options whilst understanding and meeting their needs
  • Provide verbal quotes to customers whilst they are in the showroom
  • Book in a home visit to carry out a measure and quote
  • Provide a formal quote via email within 24 hours of the home visit
  • Follow up with the customers in a proactive and professional manner to secure the sale
  • Liaise with the installers and customer to schedule the door installation      

This role is unique and different as Customers will have one point of contact throughout the whole process - YOU.  This means you form one on one relationships and in turn have the ability to increase your sales longer term as you source ongoing opportunities and referrals from the customer.

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have:

  • Proven experience in a customer service/sales environment where an end to end customer centric approach is applied in every interaction
  • Experience working within the homeware/furniture/hardware industry highly desirable
  • Ability to learn and strive for growth and success
  • The ability to lift heavy doors
  • Clean professional presentation is required
  • Can do positive attitude
  • Attention to detail, strong follow up, customer centric whilst being sales focussed is imperative

Working in a team of 4, you will be required to work on a rotating roster across 7 days per week where you will work 5 days on and have 2 days off in a row.   Hours of operation are Mon – Fri – 8.00am – 5.30pm, Sat 9.00 – 4.00pm and Sun 10.00 – 4.00pm plus customer home visits to be carried out after hours to measure and quote.

The successful candidate will need to have their own reliable transport, with a valid Driver's License and Full Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance as well as a clean valid police check completed in the last 6 months.
