The Role
This is a mission critical role for the business. The Technical Account Manager needs to blend technical know how, slick internal interpersonal skills, customer facing service attributes, sales sense, commercial reality and quick study problem solving skills. Essentially the role combines estimating, sales, service, operational knowledge, logistics awareness and a results driven focus. It is the crucial interface between sales, customers, production and logistics.
The Successful Candidate
The appointed technical account manager will possess:
- Sound engineering knowledge including the ability to quickly interpret engineering drawings
- Strong estimating skills
- A focus on minimising waste and optimising productivity
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High Level of numeracy
- MS Office suite computer skills, especially Excel
- Prior steel industry experience is desirable
