The Company
Absolute Storage is a long established and Australian owned company specialising in supplying, installing and on-going maintenance of Industrial storage solutions such as pallet racking and shelving systems.
We are a gold tier distributor for Schaefer and have recently been awarded “Distributor of the Year for Australasia – 2017”. This is an award we have now won 7 times making us the most awarded distributor.
We are a small team that competes with multi-nationals in a very competitive market, however due to superior service, expertise and a great product we are considered a market leader in our field.
The Position and requirements
We are looking to increase our sales team and are in the market for an experienced “Internal Salesperson” that understands the market and can add value to the organisation.
Based at our Dandenong South office, this is an office based role that requires the successful applicant to be confident, hard working and prepared to spend a lot of time on the phone speaking to existing clients and winning new ones. Our aim is to make the salesmen more efficient in their day so we need you to generate appointments on their behalf and assist with walk in clients / shop sales and our social media. This is a new role within our company so I am happy for the right person to take ownership and assist in designing the day to day processes which will ultimately make us all successful.
Our preference would be that the successful candidate has previous experience in selling industrial storage solutions such as selective pallet racking, Longspan shelving and other storage systems. If you don't have previous experience in selling such products then experience in selling to the logistics market or a sound understanding of the logistics environment from an operational perspective would be advantageous.
The following skills and experience will be seen as a positive:
- Previous internal sales or sales rep experience. The successful applicant will be confident and not afraid of cold calling.
- A professional and confident phone manner. English must be very clear and precise
- Previous sales experience in pallet racking and industrial storage solutions or....
- Previous experience in the logistics industry either in a selling or operational based (must be competent at selling and promoting to senior mgmt and other decision makers).
The following skills and experience are an absolute must have:
- Excellent phone manner and pronunciation.
- Proven experience in using the main Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- Current Victorian drivers licence
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Can do attitude that includes time management and the willingness to get on and learn other aspects of the company and assist other team members to achieve the common goal.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Permanent Australian Resident – as this role is for an immediate start, people currently residing out of Australia or going through their Australian Residency application will NOT be considered.
