ABOUT THE OPPERTUNITY
SGS Agriculture, Food and Life (AFL) division offers stand-alone or integrated solutions to assist organisations that are involved in agrochemicals, seed, bio fuels, fertilizers, farm machinery and more. We are looking for a highly driven individual to act as a Business Development Consultant as part of our division in Notting Hill.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of Business Development Consultant is to generate new business with clients and prospects within the given sales territory in addition to cross selling additional services. Your duties will include:
- Management of client meetings, prospective new customers and following up on leads.
- Selling of Agriculture, Food and Life products and services.
- Effective sales planning in your allocated location to meet activity targets.
- Networking with consultants / auditors.
- Up-selling of programs for existing clients through extensions to scope process.
- Reviewing external tender databases & responding to tenders on behalf of SGS.
- CRM Data management
- Support Business Managers and food programs
- Provide weekly reports to management.
- Relationship development
- Point of contact for customers regarding proposals, certificates or Invoice issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Experience in a customer service role within a service based industry
- Exceptional communicational and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience of client services management with a focus on quality and exceptional service
- The ability to adapt, drive change and implement strategic initiatives
- Exceptional organisational, planning, prioritisation and delegation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
