An opportunity has become available for the right candidate to develop our carbide business throughout Sydney within the concrete drilling and construction industries.

The role is very much hands-on with regular and close contact with existing and potential accounts. Charged with your own territory you will be required to:

  • Understand the concrete drilling and chiselling market and carbide products, who the target customers are and who our competitors are.
  • Identify opportunities for carbide sales growth within concrete drilling and chiselling category.
  • Create and execute on plans to grow carbide product ranging, support and sales volume within our defined distribution network within the concrete drilling and chiselling category.
  • Understand and document the customer journey (how our customers buy) for each key account.
  • Be the point of contact between the target market and all relevant Milwaukee staff.
  • Develop and execute programs that increase sales by product and by category to the defined list of key accounts.
  • Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity.
  • Provide technical customer support as necessary.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with the account customers and their suppliers.

Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience selling value add solutions and products into the industrial or construction markets in Australia;
  • Business qualification preferred but not mandatory;
  • Experience in the application and/ or sales of carbide products is advantageous;
  • High EQ with the ability to work with the Milwaukee team across BDM and sales channels;
  • Full drivers licence with excellent driving record;
  • Ability to seek out and convert opportunities – must have a "hunter" mentality;
  • High level of autonomy – must be highly self-organised and motivated;
  • Computer literate, comfortable with MS suite and experienced with CRM systems and reporting;
  • Able to confidently present to groups and individuals across a broad range of personality types – from tradespeople to directors of business;
  • Structured, methodical and strategic mind set coupled with an ability to "just get the job done.
