Founded in 1993, Casa Italia Gourmet Food & Wines has grown to become a prominent wholesaler of Italian food and wine products throughout Australia. With offices in Sydney and Melbourne, we're looking for an ambitious & professional person to join our VIC sales team.
About the role:
The role involves representing our wine portfolio to restaurants and cafes, with the intention to grow our existing customer base. Whilst your role will predominantly be based in Melbourne, it may eventually involve interstate travel. This role does NOT involve sitting behind a desk 5 days a week.
Skills and experience
Ideally, your experience in a similar role means you will already have a strong network of potential customers within the industry.
- Previous experience in a sales environment
- Experience with the food & beverage industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work fast, and work within a close environment
- Outgoing, confident, organised, reliable and well-presented
- Current Australian drivers licence
- Current RSA certificate
- Permanent residency in Australia or applicable work visa
- Any understanding or experience with Italian is not essential, but highly regarded given the context of the role
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain communication with our existing customers
- Seek and grow our customer base
- Sell and promote our wine portfolio
- Work within budgets, deadlines & KPIs
- Autonomous role focused on building on-premise trade relationships
