Design & Specifications Manager – Rosebery

Himmel Interior Systems offers a complete and innovative interior systems solution for the Australian Building market through our global portfolio of ceilings, walls, aluminium and architectural hardware products. We are at the forefront of commercial interior design, offering a comprehensive range of functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions.

The opportunity!

We currently have a new and exciting opportunity for a highly driven Design & Specification Manager to join our growing national business.

A star in this role will focus on Interior Designers and Architects with a consultative approach to grow their knowledge of what Himmel offers in commercial interiors, ranging from ceiling and walling solutions to aluminium and accessories.

Reporting to the NSW State Sales Manager, the purpose of the role will be to target Architects, Interior Designers across the commercial market. This role will look at the Sydney market, with Rosebery as the head office. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Seeking out opportunities to grow our business with a consultative approach to secure specification and ultimately project supply
  • Developing project specific strategies to secure customer commitment
  • Partnering closely with the Lightweight Systems team, and act as our commercial interior systems specification champion
  • Driving growth across commercial segments and influencing Architects, Interior Designers and Tier 1 and Tier 2 Builders.
  • Tracking projects from specification to delivery

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, you will ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • Exceptional business development and territory management expertise to influence, effect change and deliver value.
  • A strong network of contacts within the architectural and interior design industries will be highly advantageous
  • A high level of enthusiasm and passion for achieving the best results
  • An eye for innovation and thinking outside the square
  • A level of intuition and ability to anticipate customers' needs and drivers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to demonstrate the value add of our products
  • Above all, a team oriented approach!

No sales experience?  We are also interested in people with a qualification and experience in interior design or architecture who may be looking for a change of role!
