My client is on the hunt for an experienced sales manager, you will play an integral part in their company expansion and be responsible for all wholesale sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, allocate and reach the national wholesale target both overall and broken by individual account.
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Arrange and manage all sales appointments for all domestic wholesale accounts. 
  • Create and collaborate all strategic plans for growth
  • Provide input on seasonal range planning to maximise opportunity in sales. 
  • Work closely with national accounts and regularly analyse the market to ensure our product is relevant and gaps are filled with exclusive styles or injection pieces. 
  • Work with the Marketing department on key trade marketing strategies including in-store promotions and visual merchandising. 
  • Manage the national team of Account Managers.
  • Work with external Sales Agents and Distributors - both nationally and internationally;
  • Work closely with existing major retail partners to manage all aspects of their account, whilst also exploring and securing new major accounts;
  • Liaise regularly with our design teams to report on sell through, market trends and demands;
  • Regularly report to Executive Management on wholesale sales and market positioning and trends;
  • Over-see sales budgets, sell throughs and stock on hand, across all brands;
  • Work closely with our Logistics Team to manage timeline communication, deliveries and stock expectations for major accounts;
  • Work closely with our Marketing and PR Teams to provide such support to wholesale accounts;
  • Negotiate with new and existing major accounts, agents and distributors to maximise the sales relationship and profit.
  • Work closely with our Inventory Manager to minimize stock on hand, and develop off price inventory clearance channels.
  • Calling on customers offering new stock lines and replenishing existing styles and brands

Skills and experience:

  • Current experience in a key account role
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation, planning and organization skills
  • Proactive approach with high energy
  • Drive for results and strong analytical skills
  • You have an in-depth understanding of the Australian fashion market
  • Established relationships with retail buyers
