About the role
As Key Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining long term customer relationships as well as achieving profitable growth through the current customer base and the acquisition of new accounts. You will be a key member of the Sales team and will actively contribute in the development of sales strategies.
As part of the National Key Account Team, your day-to-day activities will include, but are not limited to:
Working on a designated portfolio, to develop and retain Key Account clients through regular face to face contact and effective customer management
Performing sales administration activities in order to maintain accurate information essential to develop revenue and improve customer satisfaction
Monitoring, reviewing and managing the performance of portfolio customers to drive revenue growth forward and ensure customers are satisfied and correctly serviced
Building lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with Key Account customers
Applicants with previous sales experience in the supply chain/freight industry are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Experience
A minimum of 2 years new business and key account sales experience
Developed selling, planning and preparation skills
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Self-motivated, open minded and willing to learn
Proven track record in growing accounts and winning new business
Demonstrated ability of dealing with decision makers at all levels
Transport or service industry experience in a sales position (desirable)
