About The Role

GE Power in Australia is currently seeking a Senior Sales Manager to join our hugely successful Gas Power Systems team in either Sydney or Melbourne. 

What you would be doing

The main things that you would be doing include:

  • Business development - identify opportunities
  • Provide deal team leadership including deal structuring, pricing & proposal development 
  • Develop projects (all the way through from enquiry, to order stage) and bring them to tender stage (or direct negotiation)
  • Bidding & contract negotiation 

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified 
  • Proven and successful experience in sales, ideally in Power Generation 
  • Commercial skills in sales, contract negotiation and business development 
  • Familiarity with generators, energy regulators and EPC's in Australia 
  • Persistence, and the ability to pivot as required
  • Relationship building skills and ability to manage customer expectations 
  • Salesmanship - ability to close
