Our client is a well-established, leading provider of Exhibitions and Trade Fairs across Australia. They currently have a fantastic newly created opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive to join their friendly and driven team of professionals.

Reporting to the Event Director you will be responsible for driving exhibition activity across your newly acquired portfolio.  This includes ensuring individual show sales targets are achieved while establishing and maintaining existing client relationships, establish new ones and report on sales activity.

The Sales Executive will be able to demonstrate a strong telephone sales capability as well as excellent face to face sales skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, pursue and close sales opportunities for the exhibition
  • Research and identify potential new business
  • Make sales calls to qualify leads and to sell floor space
  • Gain working knowledge of the floor plan ensuring maximum yield
  • Internal stakeholder management to ensure you are across all aspects of the exhibition
  • Ensure sales targets are met
  • Book and attend face to face meetings with new and existing clients
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed CRM reporting system using Events Pro
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss and review past and upcoming sales
  • Attend industry and networking events or associated exhibitions
  • Attendance and assistance on-site at assigned exhibitions
  • General reporting activity
  Skills and experience:
  • Previous phone based B2B sales experience - essential
  • Ability to close sales over the phone
  • Ability to work in a CRM updating information
  • Client relationship management skills
  • MS Office – Word and Excel
  • Ability to translate client requirements into sales
  • High level communication skills – written and verbal
  • Highly developed customer service skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to deal with people across all levels of an organisation
  • Strong negotiation skills
