An opportunity has now become available to join our VIC sales team as a Business Development Manager, based in our Melbourne office in a permanent, full time position.

This is an exciting role within a member-centric organisation that is very highly regarded across the medical and legal sectors. 

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Driving Avant's sales and retention plans across VIC, taking accountability to manage your own port folio
  • Achieving sales growth targets within target segments, building Avant's profile in the market
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor information to build competitive advantage
  • Actively collaborate in a team environment aimed at encouraging superior skills and results
  • Represent Avant at state based and national based industry events and functions

To be successful in this opportunity you must have:

  • Proven success in a Business Development role, preferably in health care, pharmaceutical, insurance, professional or financial services sectors
  • Business development skills coupled with extensive direct sales, lead generation and trade marketing experience
  • A strong understanding of the VIC medical and healthcare market and how to target and influence within the medical profession
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills, with a keen focus on risk management and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an innate desire to continuously learn and grow
