About the role 
The position of Business Development Manager for Victoria is at the forefront of business development and client liaison for the Company. The aim of the BDM is to generate sales with major construction, civil & infrastructure projects across Victoria. This key person will drive the quality and quantity of product across the market, assist to identify industry trends, be pivotal in building relationships, business leads and sales growth on a continuing basis.

Duties
  • Achieve & exceed personal sales targets to contribute to the company business objectives
  • Providing product support and advising customers on product solutions
  • Quoting from standard product pricing information and driving sales conversions
  • Building customer relationships through strong customer service and a can do attitude with a willingness to always exceed expectations
  • Ensure positive customer experiences and satisfaction is achieved
  • Manage and maintain regular call plans in your assigned territory
  • Plan and engage in customer visits to promote company products and create sales opportunities
  • Seek out and establish new customer contacts to expand the customer base
  • Contribute to the continual improvement culture of the company
  
Skills and Experience
  • Preferably have experience in a sales representation or account management / business development role in the retail industry, industrial or construction sector
  • Proven and practical knowledge of industrial / consumable products / fasteners within those industries
  • High levels of integrity and honesty with a commitment to exceptional levels of customer service and support
  • Strong negotiation ability with effective knowledge & understanding of sales revenue and gross profit performances associated with selling
  • A keen desire to develop new business, reach set targets and goals
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships with customers and suppliers
  • Self-motivated & have the ability to work autonomously in a proactive manner
  • Fastener industry experience with an in-depth product knowledge would be highly valued, but is not a requirement
