We think it is pretty cool that our marketplace hosts a real life economy, where work is undertaken in every area you can think of. From design, writing, data entry and software development; through to sales, marketing, accounting and legal services - even NASA uses us!

We are now looking for an Account Manager that lives and breathes everything technology related. You'll be speaking with startups, small business and individuals from around the world, guiding them through the process of using our site and selecting the best freelancers to work on their projects. You could be recruiting the best freelancer for a web development project in the US in the morning, and then jump to assisting mobile app design project in Singapore throughout the afternoon.

We are looking for passionate individuals who know how to provide great customer service and love seeing their clients' projects come to life with the help of our platform. The role involves a blend of assisting valuable customers with priority issues, and working on a variety of projects that cross the digital spectrum, including websites, mobile applications, design tasks, and various other small business marketing activities.

You will be working out of our Sydney HQ together with our global team of Account Managers based out of our Sydney, London, Vancouver, Manila, and Buenos Aires offices.


Requirements


  • Speak and write fluently in English, and preferably another language
  • A self-starter nature - you can work both independently and in a team and are constantly seeking new challenges
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Target driven
  • Ability to multi-task and knack for solving problems in new and creative ways
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to express complex ideas simply and concisely

And we'd love it if you had:

  • A keen interest in tech and the start up community
  • Experience in a customer-facing sales role, particularly experience working via phone, email and chat
  • A degree or diploma in a business/marketing/communications or related discipline
  • Experience with web-based businesses
