Sales (Marketing) Person

This is a wonderful opportunity to join an established and successful family owned company that manufactures and supplies chemicals to the water treatment industries. We also supply to the swimming pool market and several other key industry sectors.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated person to join our head office in the position of Sales working closely with the Sales Manager. This is an exciting position with potential for further growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Research of potential markets for various chemicals
• Cold calling potential customers.
• Maintaining records of all leads
• Following up telephone leads with literature, pricing and possible customer visits
• Customer visits on existing and newly acquired customers
• Establishing customer /supplier relationship
• National sales area with focus's on the SA market
• Providing reports to management
• Other miscellaneous sales duties

This role requires:

• A high level of time management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and email
• Exceptional communication skills
• A positive attitude to working well in a small office environment
• An exposure to the chemical industry would be a significant advantage
