In line with our strategic vision, a fantastic opportunity is now available as Business Development Officer based at our Bunbury operation. If you are interested in growing your Business Development career, have a ‘Can-do’ attitude and are a people person, then this position is for you.

The Business Development Officer (BDO) is accountable for delivering high levels of sales performance across all Skill Hire business streams in the region, including:

  • Jobactive,
  • Group Training,
  • Labour Hire,
  • Permanent Recruitment, and
  • Nationally Recognised and Short-Course Training.

The BDO develops relationships with local employers to fully understand their business’s operations, determining how Skill Hire will best support their staffing requirements.

To be suitable for and excel in this position applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Sales success in previous sales role
  • Initiative and ability to exceed KPI and business targets
  • Experience working closely with clients to understand their business requirements and identify potential to sell in additional services
  • A ‘think outside the box’ approach to achieving your goals
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Experience working with employment services will be well regarded.

Your diverse day to day tasks will include:  

  • Generating specifications for employer’s labour needs
  • Actively manage your sales territory, using a 12-month planning cycle
  • Where appropriate, promote jobseekers to employers using incentives such as wage subsidies.
