About the Role

The key objective of this role is to drive new business, increase online sales and profitability.  With organic growth year on year we would like to push this harder and further through new customer acquisition, increased carts  and operational efficiencies.

You’ll have the opportunity to take these brands from 5 year “start up” to a new level of maturity.  Your contribution will be from the top down, working closely with the MD to redesign the online business structure, including e-storefront, EDM and customer journey.  Whilst putting your personal stamp on the role, through developing and implementing digital strategy and roadmap, reviewing and creating new market places and taking the strategic lead.

This role will see you directly working to transition the sales smoothly to the consumer, order to invoice, payment and delivery.  It goes without saying you will have a proven record in optimising all levers, (media, search, social, partnerships, affiliates marketing through comparison sites) monitor and improve customer experience, track and measure performance against roadmaps.

This roll will have two direct reports, and will report directly to the MD.  This position will liaise closely with external suppliers of technical, digital and design. 

What you would be doing

You'll be a bit of an all rounder

  • Ability to work with budygets
  • Define e-commerce development & strategic roadmap : Identify and experiment on-line retail opportunities 
  • Drive sales, ensure profitability and growth of e-sites
  •  Build a strategy to optimize traffic using all levers (media, search, social,  partnerships, affiliates marketing through comparison sites…) 
  • Monitor the customer experience and purchase path to improve purchase rate (frequency, conversion, average order size) on all devices (web, mobile…) and provide data expertise to deploy & adapt the strategy 
  • Track and measure site & Business performance to increase programs Return on Investment 
  • Website Design & functionality
  • Set-up and optimize orders, payment, delivery with Supply Chain (internal/external) & finance     
  • 5 years experience in a similar role
  • 2/3 years on Magento platform
