Trayne Consulting is currently recruiting an experienced Director, Account to join our Client’s well established global business to look after the Pacific Region. This is a newly created role where you will be solely responsible for building and maximising new and existing relationships within the business to ensure maximum sales are reached.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Asia Pacific & India you will be a member of the Asia Pacific Senior Leadership Team where you will act as an integral point between the business partners and the company.

The primary focus of this role is to develop and execute key account strategies through the creation and implementation of a robust account plan within the Pacific business.  You will be accountable for developing new and existing business partnerships throughout the region whilst maximising the business potential.

The key responsibilities for this role are as listed but not limited to

  • Develop and execute key account strategies through the creation and implementation of  robust account plans to maximise sales targets
  • Strategize, develop & execute the Pacific’s 5 years strategic plan and in-line with the account management standards for the region
  • Develop and implement strategic market plans to increase brand awareness as well as maintain a strong and positive image in the Pacific region to be recognised as a leader in the industry
  • Provide account management leadership to the team resulting in strong business partnerships, and maximisation of business potential from partnerships.
  •  Work with the business partners to identify new business opportunities and ensure that these opportunities are followed through and implemented whilst forming close collaborative partnership with all areas of the Operation to ensure success/
  • Have a strong understanding of the partners business to enable you to identify needs and resolve any issues in a timely, professional and positive manner
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships to ensure a ‘one team’ mentality which will allow successful implementation of all new business opportunities

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or Sales Management with proven experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience of having strong analytical and account management/business development skills maximising all opportunities whilst partnering with internal and external stakeholders to form long term relationships
  • Must be a strategic & tactical thinker along with good organisational and planning skills.
  • Solid commercial acumen as well as the ability to make substantive contributions to the business and overall results.
  • Have the ability to assess complex business situations and respond by communicating/explaining their implications as well as to evaluate with the business leaders best options leading to successful outcomes
  • Strategic decision maker ensuring that all complexities have been thoroughly thought-out to ensure best outcome
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach and build successful team to support business growth
  • Hospitality or real estate development industry experience highly desirable
  • Passionate, driven and results orientated whilst also keeping the best interest of the business partners and the company at the forefront of every interaction.

This role will provide an exciting opportunity for someone who is experienced in this field that is passionate, results orientated, a self-starter that can drive success whilst forming outstanding partnerships within the Pacific region.  Whilst this position is based on the Gold Coast, some travel will be required which will include overseas travel from time to time.

The successful candidate must be hungry for success and motivated, whilst at all times presenting a professional image.  With a strong background in Account Management and Business Development you must demonstrate your sales experience coupled with your outstanding presentation and people management skills. 

Customer service must be at the forefront of every interaction and your ability to problem solve for a win-win outcome will be imperative.   You will be a natural closer with the ability to share your experience, skills and sales techniques with the wider team.
