The Role

This role is focused on winning specifications with architects and designers and maintaining specifications and building relationships with the builders, contractors and installers. Establishing an environment of trust, professionalism and strong relationships with clients is key. The diversity of the role will offer an opportunity to sell on a technical, creative and commercial level across the specification area.

Reporting to the Western Australian State / Sales Manager, you will be supported in this role by the State and the National Product & Project Manager.

 The Duties

Identify and establish relationships with top architectural & design firms.

While you will grow your existing relationships with the Palram product range, your focus will also be on proactively sourcing new opportunities and relationships.

Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms.

Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise with all our products & services.

Be a natural networker who can build relationships combined with a positive self-drive and determination.

A proven track record in managing the specification process from initial commencement to final completion.

The Candidate:

  • Have proven links in specification sales and industry contacts with Architects, Engineers, Estimators and Designers and also strong relationships with Builders and Contractors.
  • Need to be a professional presenter while building long term relationships.
  • Ability to find and source new opportunities.
  • A self-motivator in a team environment.
  • Enjoy the challenge of chasing new business and building relationships.
  • Highly networked in the building /architectural industry.
  • Excellent sales and business development skills, can implement fresh ideas by developing ways of working which will give you the edge.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written and presentation.
  • Strong planning and implementation skills
  • Results orientated and focussed.
