Redstar Equipment Supplies specialises in fixed-speed diesel equipment providing generators, compressors, welders, lighting towers, distribution boards, parts & servicing to many of Australia’s largest mining, construction, industrial, rental and government organisations.
Position Summary:
Direct,plan, coordinate, monitor and report on all aspects of branch operations. Act in accordance with Executive General Manager directives and implement programs to achieve annual growth and profit targets, company goals, objectives and policies.
About the role:
- Sponsor a training culture within the branch
- Have an effective sales culture within the branch
- Ensure adherence to group HR policies and procedures
- Enforce line management accountability
- Ensure effective leadership by line managers
- Undertake performance and salary reviews for direct line reports in line with Group HR directions
- Ensure compliance with Safety, quality and other legislative requirements
- Develop and maintain culture and values consistent with those of the Group
- Prepare annual operating forecasts and capital expenditure budgets
- Undertake resource planning to support branch projects and operations
- Preparation of annual business plans for each of the profit centres (sales, service and parts)
- Establish, implement, communicate and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Manage the purchasing activities within the branch in line with Board policy
- Present plans, budgets and forecasts to the Executive General Manager
- Report on KPI performance
- Prepare weekly (or as required) reports to the Executive General Manager
- Monitor commercial performance in accordance with the budget and KPI’s
- Monitor and measure customer satisfaction
About you:
- Proven track record in equipment sales or similar industry
- Proven ability to manage and motivate personnel
- Customer Service focus
- Excellent People management and communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements
- Experience in a like role in the same or similar industry
- Strong commercial background
- Proven ability to grow the business and be accountable for performance target achievements
