We have partnered with a well established West Australian organisation who have been operating locally for over 100 years. As a result of their future growth strategies an exciting newly create role has opened up for a Senior Business Development Manager to join their team in Perth.

Your new role
As Business Development Manager, you will report to the General Manager of Corporate Services and will be directly responsible for managing key existing accounts whilst driving the strategic approach to developing new business. You will be responsible to think outside the box to drive revenue and increase opportunities to maximise the capacity of the business. You will be the primary contact for commercial / contract matters and will manage the relationship between the client, their customers and suppliers. As a member of the Leadership team, you will provide leadership, advice and support services to the organisation on pricing, contract strategy, tendering, and closeout of contracts.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a demonstrable track record of implementing a strategic plan to drive revenue growth, cost savings, compliance and contract execution. Your consultative approach to selling would allow you to partner with existing and new clients. Your strong background across Business Development and strategic commercial management within Resources or Logistics would be favourable. You will have experience at assessing current processes and systems and advise on the implementation of updated systems. You will have a strong ability to map your market and target clients that are currently not utilising your service. Key background capabilities include:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Extensive experience in similar commercial role
  • Strong Western Australian network
  • Well-developed financial, commercial and management skills
  • Proven success in contract negotiation and management.


What you'll get in return
In this newly created strategic role, you will have the opportunity to drive the commerciality of the business in Western Australia and will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary package including a base salary of $130,000-$140,000, car allowance up to $23,000 & superannuation.
