International Sales Manager

About the role
We’re recruiting for a fast-growing luxury label that has gone from strength to strength in recent years. Due to their ongoing success and impressive sales figures, the brand is planning an overseas expansion.

The team are on the lookout for a savvy salesperson to lead this activity. The role will involve compiling a list of suitable luxury retailers and department stores who target relevant clientele. You’ll then use your personal networks and new business development skills to arrange meetings and showings with the relevant Buyers.

This position will be based out of their Head Office in Melbourne. You will be required to do some international travel approximately 3 times a year.

This role is suited to an experienced salesperson with demonstrable experience of selling into international luxury retailers. Candidates with existing Buyer relationships are heavily preferred.

Salary according to experience.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Compiling a list of target retail partners.
  • Using existing Buying contacts and personal networks to cultivate new relationships with international retail partners.
  • Managing existing accounts.
  • Performing seasonal sell-ins.
  • Working closely with the wider team, including the designers, to ensure commercial success overseas.
  • Coming up with the creative concepts for the international Showroom.


Role Requirements:

  • Clear experience of having sold into relevant international retailers.
  • Relevant industry contacts and fantastic market knowledge.
  • Experience working for a luxury or semi-luxury brand.
  • Strategic mindset; capable of selecting relevant partners for brand building purposes.
  • Comfortable using sales reporting tools.
  • Full right to work in Australia - must be a citizen or hold a valid visa that ensures full right to work on a long-term basis e.g. Permanent Residency.
