About this opportunity;

This position is a mid to senior level business development Manager role, whereby you will be responsible for driving the successful and sustainable sales growth of these products across the Pacific.  You will also then manage the ongoing relationships of the client base, specifically distributors and retailers from Micronesia to the Cook Islands and all countries in between. 

About you;

The role will suit a proven business development manager that has held regional responsibility of some variety, so you are familiar with travel and strategic sales across multiple markets.  The challenge with this role is the diversity.  The locations have their own nuances, so the role does require a worldly individual, familiar with managing a complex travel calendar and with adapting to different cultures.
Your FMCG background will be vital to your success in this position, with export experience also a priority.  Supply chain is a core consideration and much of you work will be assisting clients with logistics and supply chain questions.  Similarly, the financials of FMCG is important to the role.  Not necessarily specific to this product line, but general knowledge of pricing, profit and sales forecasting is important.  You will be well supported by the marketing team however we would like to see experience in new product development and implementation of marketing strategies.


The key ‘soft’ skill we require is communication.  Due to the size and complexity of your region, you will be interacting with clients, customers and colleagues every day.  Whilst my client requires a commercially focused individual, it is the client that is key and your written and verbal communication skills are crucial to managing these relationships.  Tertiary qualifications in sales/marketing/business/commerce will help your application.
