Our client is a well-established, national organisation who specialize in the manufacturing and supply of premium decorative surfaces and joinery solutions which are widely used by cabinetmakers, builders, architects and discerning homeowners seeking a quality, high end finish. The company is well funded and have recently invested in new product development, marketing and branding to embark on the next stage of growth. In line with this strategy, there is currently an exciting, newly created opportunity to join the organization in the role of National Retail Business Unit Manager.
The role
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a critical, senior position which is responsible for the development and ongoing growth of the company’s retail hardware segment. The position will require working with national buyers and category managers across both current and prospective key retailers to enhance existing product penetration while also introducing new lines according the market trends and needs.
About You
- Five + years of demonstrated experience in a similar National Account Manager / Business Unit Manager role within the retail hardware sector;
- Demonstrated experience working with national plumbing and building products retailers (Reece, Tradelink, Bunnings etc.);
- Entrepreneurial by nature and passionate about growing business and developing new product lines;
- Strong commercial acumen and well-developed negotiation and analytical skills;
- Exceptional relationship building, influencing and communication skills;
- Highly motivated, reliable and trustworthy with a high level of integrity;
- Professionally presented, articulate and results orientated; and
- Relevant degree qualifications would be an advantage.
