About the role:
AV Media Systems is seeking a Sales Support Representative to join the business development team in our expanding NSW office located in Alexandria. 

Reporting to the Director and providing support to the Sales Account Manager, you will work alongside our successful team to generate leads, continue increasing sales and building lasting customer relationships.


The role will see you being responsible for generating and pursuing new sales opportunities by researching, cold calling, emailing, following up referrals, tenders and old business contacts. The focus will be to accelerate and acquire new customers, as well as re-establish previous clients by using creativity and drive to create unique new ways of finding business opportunities, in accordance to agreed targets. This role will suit a self-driven, credible IT sales professional able to take a consultative, solutions-led approach.


The focus of the role as Sales Support includes:

  • Being accountable to the Sales Account Manager and Director
  • Responding to tender submissions to contract specifications
  • Lead generation by means of researching and hunting for new leads, cold calling, responding to new inquiries, and passing on qualified leads to the sales team.
  • Setting meetings and site visits for the sales team.
  • Hitting agreed upon targets and helping to generate sales revenue.
  • Re-establishing old business contacts as well as follow up on recently finished projects.
  • Completion of assigned jobs & associated completion of paperwork
  • Promoting a business-like & positive culture with Clients Vendors & fellow Employees
  • Full understanding of MS Office programmes such as outlook and word.  


Your skills and attitude:
It is essential that you are outgoing, easy to talk to and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, persuade and influence stakeholders. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, self-driven, have a passion for business development and be highly capable of cold calling, fact finding and capitalising on business opportunities. The candidate should be able to open new doors of opportunities for the company.

 
Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in lead identification, qualification and demonstrated B2B skills Technical an asset
  • Product knowledge and sales related experience preferred but not essential.
  • Candidate must possess drive, determination, goals orientation, exceptional time management and customer-service skills.
  • An interest in learning about Audio Video technology
  • Able to communicate at all levels. Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to plan, organise and deliver to objectives.
  • Target driven and effective self-starter.
  • Both a strong team player and an individual who can work autonomously in a multi-tasking environment
  • Possess excellent work ethics
