Due to continued growth and a steady stream of private, local and state government projects on the Sunshine Coast and interstate, an opportunity has become available for a talented Business Development Manager to join the Commercial team.
 
The BDM will be key in generating growth for the company by identifying and developing business opportunities across QLD and interstate, whilst working towards improving the client market position and achieve ongoing and steady financial growth.

The successful candidate will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of current market conditions, industry regulations and competitors
  • Extensive experience in defining long-term organisational strategic goals
  • An innate ability to build strong business relationships
  • Excellent negotiating skills and confident in closing sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • New business development
  • Determine feasibility and viability of services
  • Cold calling to generate new business opportunities
  • Increase client base by growing and leveraging business networks and identifying key personnel in client organisations
  • Prospect and identify potential new clients and convert leads into sales
  • Build and develop strong business relationships with new and existing clients through regular networking opportunities to encourage return business into the future
  • Arrange business meetings between client, key business and project personnel. 
  • Plan a strategic approach to closing business transactions by using effective negotiation and persuasive sales techniques, that targets the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. 
  • Manage client queries and concerns through open communication and ensure client satisfaction is monitored and maintained pre/post project phase.
