About the business
Urban Rest Apartments is a fast-growing executive serviced apartments business with an exciting opportunity for an experienced executive in Business Development, who is interested in developing new business opportunities in the travel/hospitality industry to drive growth and brand awareness in NSW.
As the Business Development Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Director to develop our sales strategy and processes as well as pursuing new business opportunities in the corporate travel/re-location space. An existing network in this space will be highly favourable although not necessary as a strong pipeline has already been developed.
You will focus on the engagement and acquisition of customers with significant levels of corporate travel and global mobility, being involved in every aspect of the sales process - from sourcing and developing leads, to driving customers to close and managing ongoing relationships. The initial focus will be on NSW but then nationally as we develop our presence in other major cities over the coming months.
What you'll be doing:
- Actively pursue identified business opportunities and channels to fuel growth
- Develop winning strategies, utilising strong value based selling principles
- Lead the entire sales process: prospecting > closure > managing customer relationships
- Develop a collaborative working relationship with key internal departments such as Marketing, Property Acquisition and Operations

What you must have to apply for this role:
- You will have a hunter mentality and know who to target and how to build key relationships in the corporate travel space
- Proven sales/business development skills including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
You will be highly regarded if you also have:
- Strong, live networks of decision makers in the corporate re-location sector
- Understanding of the real estate market
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills
