Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing wholesale and retail customers in your territory. Key accounts include Harvey Norman’s, Target, Big W and Priceline. Working to a set 12 weekly call cycle, you will be responsible for store-based execution of the national marketing, promotional and merchandising strategy in order to promote brand awareness, ensuring optimal shelf presence, positioning and stock availability. You will also be responsible for using your negotiation and influencing skills to drive sales through presentation of deals and maintaining good stock weights across all inventory, as well as to identifying and maximising the use of off-shelf location and other point of sales (POS) opportunities to drive sales. Key to your success will be your ability to impart product knowledge to key retail staff so that they understand product features and benefits to become brand demonstrators who actively promote company brands to the end-consumer.  Key to the role are also reporting and administrative requirements and proactively enhancing the organisations reputation by accepting ownership to accomplish new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value and achieve positive outcomes.

This is a challenging and exciting role which requires a high level of drive, ambition and self motivation, excellent communication and product demonstration skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships and excellent time management and planning skills.  This role is ideally suited to somebody with similar experience in merchandising or field sales, ideally in the consumer electrical or consumer durables sector.
