Madman Entertainment is looking for a National Sales Manager – Theatrical to join our team on a maternity leave contract and drive theatrical sales to our exhibition partners. If you’re experienced in sales, have a passion for film and ideally have either film distribution or exhibition experience, we’d love to hear from you.
Madman is one of Australia’s leading independent film distributors - creating, licensing and distributing content into cinemas, film festivals, TV channels, disc and digital platforms nationally.
As the Theatrical Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Devise release strategies for Madman theatrical films to ensure the best commercial outcome possible
- Proactively pitch Madman content to exhibition partners to achieve forecasted targets
- Develop and foster relationships with exhibition programmers and key stakeholders
- Forecast and report on proposed commercial activity and actual results
- Work closely with the Marketing Managers on budgets and campaign ideas
- Actively engage with the industry at trade events and conventions
- Collaborate with producers on local productions
- Manage a direct report and contribute to the Madman culture
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in a Sales, Account Management or Programming role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain key relationships
- Effective negotiation skills
- Be well versed in preparing annual budgets and reporting periodically
- Excellent attention to detail
- Enthusiasm and willingness to be part of the team
Contract dates: August 2018 – September 2019
