Your new role

You should have deep understanding of current issues and operational challenges across the Power & Utilities Sector with the ability to work with internal teams to create value adding solutions for our clients. You will:

  • Work on a portfolio of clients across the Power & Utilities Sector
  • Identify and gather information on new client issues through primary (face-to-face) meetings. Personally lead development of those relationships where KPMG has no existing relationship owner
  • Work with and across functions and functional partners to enhance sales efforts within target clients. Agree sales strategies to penetrate accounts, assign ownership for relationships with key stakeholders and ensure appropriate visibility at board level.
  • In conjunction with Lead Partners, drive the creation, and lead the execution of, focused Client Account Plans to develop our relationships and optimize our revenues/opportunities
  • Build the strategies for marketing and thought leadership activities and ensure return on investment is measured through deepened relationships and increased opportunities for KPMG to work with the client.
  • Manage tenders and pitch processes for your defined portfolio, providing challenge and support.  Ensure that our client knowledge is best represented, and inject the client perspective into the process.  This includes developing clear value propositions.
  • Bring new ideas and methods to the account and liaise with other account team members to ensure that best practice is shared, client and sector intelligence is communicated and the team has a good understanding of what services are selling well

 

 You bring to the role

  • Proven strong experience in a sales or client-facing professional role, in a complex solutions environment
  • Demonstrated relevant industry sector experience in working with energy, power or utility organisations (or preferably organisations across all three).
  • Experience in a professional services or technology organisation an advantage
  • Excellent written and presentational skills and the ability to analyse data and prepare reports
  • Resilience and an ability to perform in a fast paced and varied work environment
  • A positive mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with senior level executives
