Don’t miss out on this rare job opening at this very successful national supplier of machinery to the FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries based conveniently out of Sydney’s inner west. You will be employed as their Business Development Manager selling in their wide range of top quality food equipment and machinery. This role offers the successful candidate plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to utilise your people skills and build long-term mutually beneficial relationships. You will be provided all the necessary resources and support from senior management to succeed.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the General Manager, your primary responsibility will be to sell in their wide range of top quality food equipment and machinery to FMCG and pharmaceutical customers based across Sydney and some regional centres. The secondary responsibility of this role is to manage, strengthen and grow a portfolio of existing and loyal customers. This role will require you travel out to several regional centres and potentially stay overnight every 8 - 12 weeks. The ideal candidate will have proven success in selling machinery or packaging and be used to working on deals with a long lead time.

- A number of years in field-based machinery or packaging sales role
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
