Internal sales and service role focused on going the extra mile to ensure that every sale is profitable and a positive experience. The role requires drive, commitment, a proactive, flexible approach and an expectation of meeting personal sales targets.

Experience in selling in the Timber Industry would be an advantage.

You will:

  • Have at least 2-3 years of phone and walk in face to face sales experience
  • Have a demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals and achieve sales quotas
  • Exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs.
  • Have solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
  • Have a strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Be able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation and excellent listening skills.
  • Be self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Be able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • Have an ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Have a high level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Be able to use sound judgment, listening and problem-solving skills to analyze customer problems and to recommend the proper course of action
  • Be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Can learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position.
  • Have an ability to manipulate and manage spreadsheets
  • Have experience working in CRM systems and Microsoft Office

Key Role Tasks include:

  • Working closely with the Site Manager you will be part of the sales and admin team who will communicate constantly to ensure that targets are met, and orders processed within the required time frames
  • Handling inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and walk-in customers and convert into sales in a professional and efficient manner to generate sales, cross-sell and up-sell
  • Educating the customer on our product range and offer a variety of product-related solutions
  • Setting clear and achievable expectations with customers and consistently achieve them
  • Responding to customer inquiries with an initial response within 24hrs in a professional manner
