Business Development Manager - ANZ

Our client, a highly regarded creator and facilitator of English language tests designed specifically to assess the English language skills of overseas trained healthcare professionals is seeking to appoint a Business Development professional based in their Melbourne Headquarters. Renowned for being the benchmark in English language assessment backed by world leading institution, currently their product is being utilised by health care professionals globally and is growing at a rapid pace.

The Role

Reporting to the Global Commercial Head, you will create and implement a growth focused strategy across Australia and New Zealand in order to create further market awareness and to achieve revenue growth in line with business targets.

Business Development Duties

  • Increase the profile and be accountable for sales in Australia and New Zealand
  • Drive the entire sales process from initiation to completion
  • Be the face of the company by organising and delivering presentations, attending conferences, tradeshows, events and seminars
  • Identify and report new business opportunities by undertaking research and analysis to provide accurate market data
  • Collaborate with the global network specifically in the South East Asia / Pacific region.

Relationship Development Duties

  • Be accountable for the development of relationships with key stakeholders across ANZ including Government, Boards and Councils, regulators, higher education institutions and to ensure maximum recognition in the region
  • Develop and maintain specialist knowledge regarding the healthcare and education markets and the role of English language assessment in the wider, dynamic healthcare context.

The role will involve significant travel in order to achieve key objectives and to maximise opportunities in building relationships with key stakeholders across relevant sectors and markets.

Skills & Experience

Significant and proven experience in attaining new business (preferably in the education sector OR healthcare sector) with good knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand education and or health market. Market research and product development experience would also be highly desirable.

Excellent English language proficiency and communication skills (interpersonal, presentation, negotiating) in conjunction with superior writing skills showcasing your ability to craft business proposals and letters to key decision-makers. Many of these key decision makers will be at a senior and or Board level so a familiar in dealing at the executive level is also paramount.
