Our client is an established and fast growing provider of specialised contractor services to the building services and construction sectors across Melbourne. They are a progressive company that understands the importance of investing in its employees and providing them with the training and support necessary for them to perform to the levels required.
About The OpportunityThey are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their company in Ringwood VIC.
The primary purpose of this position is to secure new projects, maintenance works and contracts to expand the client's customer base in the following in industries such as Body Corporates, Shopping Centres, Retail, Hotel Chains, Health, State and Local Government and Commercial Builders.
Reporting to The Operations Director, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Networking and identifying key stakeholder contacts
- Facilitating meetings and making presentations to clients
- Developing relationships with new and existing clients
- Scoping and quoting works
- Compiling work briefs for work teams
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary or trade qualification
- 5+ years proven experience in a similar sales position in the building industry
- Strong quoting and measuring experience
- Advanced business acumen, communication and IT skills
- A demonstrated network of existing clients or industry contacts (desirable)
