Why become the Sales Director (APAC) at Noggin?

As our Sales Director, you will lead and grow Noggin's inside sales, enterprise sales, customer success and pre-sales solution consulting functions. You'll be joining our business as as we hit our growth trajectory, where you will be responsible for the direction and success of business development across the APAC region. You'll be taking over a mature enterprise sales function, establishing an inside sales function as well as setting the strategy for and getting hands-on with the growth of each function. As a result, you'll have a wealth of knowledge and experience in driving the growth and success of similar sales functions within a complex technology and solution sales environment.

What does it take to be a Noggin?

You'll be stepping into a team with each function at different levels of maturity, and so you will need to tailor your overarching strategy and growth plan to this. This is a senior management role reporting into the CEO and you will be ensuring that the sales & business development teams' work effort is aligned to the Noggin's vision and strategy. As a result, you will be tracking and measuring the performance of your teams and ensuring that their deliverables are aligned with Noggin's strategic direction. 

You're a proven sales director who's had experience leading broad sales functions and driving their continued growth and success. You know what it takes to grow and drive the continued success of an enterprise sales function as well as establishing a new inside sales function. You're highly strategic in your approach to managing your teams but you're also comfortable with the tactical management of each function and (where required) getting hands-on with the day to day operations of your teams. You're a metrics-driven leader who knows which levers to pull in order to focus the efforts and activity of your teams in order to reach your revenue targets. And you're able to report on this to the executive team, providing insights into your team's performance and making recommendations on how to further improve this.

Experience in similar software and solution offerings is preferable but not mandatory - such experience would be related to incident management, crisis management, emergency management, work health and safety, risk management or GRC. 

What does success look like in this role?

From the moment you step into this role, your focus will be to establish a clear strategy and direction for your teams as well as how you're going to grow, scale and drive the success each function. You'll be hiring your inside sales manager (and the rest of the team) immediately as well as focus on getting them to a point where they have a solid sales rhythm and pipeline. You will also bring on board additional headcount in the enterprise sales team, particularly in the business development and customer success functions for both Australia and New Zealand.

After your first year, your sales teams will be fully established and performing well in both the Australia and New Zealand offices. You'll be getting ready to further grow and mature each sales function by setting your strategy for the next financial year and you'll be working with the Sales Director (Northern Hemisphere) to ensure alignment across regions. Longer term, you could potentially step into a global sales leadership role or perhaps move into another area of the business.
