The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Corporate Sales Executive to join EPICURE based at the Taronga Centre, Taronga Zoo.

In this role, you will be responsible for the successful sales and business development for the corporate sector within the events team at the Taronga Centre and on occasion special events as deemed necessary by the Sales & Marketing Manager.

About the role:

  • Responsibility for Corporate Events revenue targets, which make up the overall group target
  • Following of EPICURE sales process, including receiving enquiries, ascertaining the customer’s requirements, providing relevant details and utilising negotiating skills, converting enquiry into confirmed bookings
  • Pro-active and efficient service delivery, which anticipates and accommodates client needs
  • Host site inspections and client meetings
  • Development of strong and ongoing client relationships to encourage repeat business bookings
  • Conduct regular sales calls to increase business levels (in consultation with the Sales & Marketing Manager)
  • Attend sales meetings and where requested, prepare and present individual activities and progress
  • Maintain thorough venue and product knowledge and an understanding of the EPICURE service standards and philosophies to ensure clear communication with clients
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Sydney venue and events market and key competitors
