We have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our fast- paced and driven Conference & Events Team. This role is based in Sydney Metro (Norwest business park) and will require the successful applicant to work part time; approximately 20 - 25 hours per week.

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to commence immediately.

  • To achieve revenue targets for meetings & Events including business groups room nights
  • Build and develop new relationships, whilst managing our current customer base
  • Identify and convert sales leads into new business oppertunities
  • Ability to undertake regular telemarketing activities for both existing and new client
  • Deliver sales activities and results in a timely manner
  • Provide market intelligence on a regular basis and an understanding of competitor strengths, weaknesses and ongoing sales activities
  • Assist, implement and monitor sales strategies for conference and events 
  • Have a complete understanding of the Hotel's sales vision,Financial targets,products and services,as well as rate structure to fulfil business objectives
  • participate and represent AccorHotel's and the hotel at key industry/trade events that will ensure an appropriate return on investment

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role or environment
  • Self-motivated and has the ability to work autonomously in a very fast paced environment with strong commercial sense
  • Proactive approach to winning new business.
  • Confident.creative with excellent presentation and outstanding communication skills
  • The ability to stay step ahead of the competition and possess excellent negotiation skills to actively "hunt" and secure new business
  • Effective people management skills.
