About the business and the role
We are a long established and market leading national company producing a large range of Industrial Air Filtration, Dust Collection and Fume Extraction Equipment. Our Sydney head office requires a dynamic, self motivated and reliable person to sell and promote our large range of products to a diverse range of industries and institutions. You would be required to service our existing customer base and to continually expand upon it.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As the Queensland Manager you will lead a small team of fantastic, dedicated people in our Salisbury office ,warehouse & factory. You will be responsible to manage and create sales from our customers, both existing and new in Queensland and the N.T. You will assess customers requirements and prepare quotations for them. You will close on the sale and ensure that the customer is satisfied. You will be required to do overnight travel in the performance of your duties. You will attend trade shows and conventions to promote our company and its range of products.
Skills and experience
The successful person must possess
A strong mechanical / technical aptitude and be able to read drawings.
Be able to do on site "measure ups" at customers factories.
Must be able to assess customers requirements and work out the best technical solution to help them.
Must be computer literate
Must be a great communicator and be able to close sales.
You will be required to do cold calls to generate new business
You must be a team leader to a small team of Production & internal staff
