About the opportunity

We are looking for a leader who can mentor and lead a team to perform to the best of their ability and one who can identify and train our future leaders. We need a dynamic leader, a team player with the strength to build and maintain successful business relationships.

This position requires a high level of drive, with a strong professional work ethic to execute the Sydney growth plan and increase sales and coverage in the Sydney Region.  You will need to be enthusiastic with a customer orientated approach to business and a strong motivation to succeed. You will manage, mentor and develop teams that operate with a disciplined approach to meet company goals.

You will be responsible for:

  • Establishing deal target numbers
  • Achieving increased market share
  • Sales forecasting and maintaining targeted gross margin
  • Approving sales deals
  • Mapping the current market and understanding competitors
  • Continuous improvement

About you

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

  • Tertiary qualification (Commercial/Project Management) or
  • Trade, Engineering or Business management qualification
  • Previous exposure to CRM system
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor people through team building to achieve set goals
  • Experience developing and delivering a business improvement plan
  • Ability to analyse and compile reports
  • Excellent organisational skills to achieve tight deadlines
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to build a cohesive team with common goals
  • Strong sales experience coupled with supervisory experience
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven negotiating skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with employees, peers and customers
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Excel knowledge a must)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Supportive and "can do" attitude
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment

Desirable

  • Previous sales experience within the Construction/Earthmoving or Automotive (car dealership) industries.
  • Proven success in growing a business or business unit
