This is a key role in the team with responsibility for generating new demand for our activities by selling them to a wide range of stakeholders.

The job

We want a sales professional who can actively identify, engage, maintain and close sales opportunities for our range of products. Your targets will be senior corporate and Government Executives and Elected Representative and your job is to align our products to their needs. You will own our sales effort.

 

Responsibilities

Plan:

  • Identify new markets and new opportunities and plan efficient approaches to connect with these targets
  • Develop, maintain, progress and report on a sales funnel in our Sugar CRM

Prepare:

  • Develop and maintain sales collateral with the Marketing team for each of the products including pitch packs.
  • Maintain pricing offers and delivery methodology for products to ensure ongoing profitability.
  • Coordinate sales effort with available team capacity

Sell:

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive ongoing business and customer relationships with key targets nationally.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and appointment making.
  • Present, promote and demonstrate products publicly, on the phone and face to face
  • Pitch and sell products/services and close contracts.   

Support:

  • Support customers during program delivery, expediting the resolution of customer issues to maximize satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate sales accounting.

Own

  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Report progress regularly
  • Use business intelligence to inform product modification and design

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience selling programs and products face-to-face and on the phone.
  • Strong sales process across prospecting, qualifying, researching, pitching, overcoming objections and closing
  • Self-motivated and target driven with a proven record for delivering sales results
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills as well as a commercial approach to making deals.
  • Experienced selling to senior executives and elected officials.
  • Strong written and verbal skills including written business English (proposals, quotes, submissions, bids)
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time and maximise effort
  • Ability to build long term relationships
  • Excellent skills using Word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Resilient, able to remain tenacious in a challenging market.
  • Proven capability using CRM software to maintain sales pipeline and accurately track individual sales activity.
  • Able to undertake some travel for work as required.
